Think about it. How likely would it be for people to approve of Jesus as the leader of the USA. The message about the cross is all about Jesus, claiming to be God in the flesh, who loves, serves, heals, and does not resist the violence against him. He does not threaten, use power to get what benefits him, brag about his accomplishments, or anything else earthly leaders do. We can either know him to really be the way, the truth and the life, or not. Thanks be to God for the cross. He died for human foolishness.
